Conversation Starters to use With Men

It is sometimes hard to make conversation with men you have just met. These are some suggestions of how to start a conversation with men. These ideas can be used for chatting with men on-line, talking to men on the phone or talking to men on a date. These questions allow you to find out what men are interested in and can lead to more conversation and follow-up questions if needed.
1. How was your day?- Start a conversation simply by asking men how their day was. This will lead to more conversation or will allow you to ask more questions.
2. How was work? - Ask men how their work day was or ask how their job is going. Men like to talk about themselves and feel important if you ask about their career/job.
3. What did you do last weekend?- This question allows you to gain information about what men like to do in their spare time. It will give you insight into their hobbies or interests.
4. Where are you from? - Ask men where they grew up. This allows you to gain background information about them. This also gives men the chance to talk about their past and different places they have lived.
5. Where did you go to college/school? - This allows you to find out where men went to school and what they studied. Men can share past experiences about their college years with you.
6. What is your favorite sport/ sports team? - Some men are passionate about sports and like women who are interested in sports. You will gain bonus points with men by asking about sports.
7. Do you play or watch any sports? - Again, a lot of men love sports so any questions about their favorite sport is good.
8. What TV shows do you watch? - By asking men what they like to watch you will see if you have similar taste in TV shows. If you like to watch the same shows you can talk about your favorite episodes, actors, etc.
9. What was the last movie you saw and did you like it? - Ask men what kind of movies they enjoy seeing and ask if they would recommend a movie for you to see. This will lead to more conversation and if you both want to see the same movie you could make a date out of it.
10. What type of food/restaurants do you like? - Asking men this question allows you to see if you have similar tastes in food. You can also ask what their favorite restaurant is and ask if they recommend any restaurants in your area. This also leads to a future date option for dinner.
11. What type of music do you like? - Ask men the syle of music they enjoy listening to. Also ask men about their favorite bands, groups, singers, etc. You can ask them to recommend a new CD to you.
12. Do you have any hobbies or interests? - This questions allows you to find out what men like to do in their free time. When women are interested in mens hobbies/interests this makes them feel good. Showing an interest in the things they are passionate about lets men know you care and want to get to know them better.
13. Have you been on any trips/vacations recently? - Ask men where they have traveled recently and what they enjoyed most about the trip. Ask about the hotel, weather, food, etc.
14. Do you like to travel? - Asking men this question allows you to find out if they are adventurous and like going to new places. Ask what their favorite trip has been and where they would like to go in the future.
