What Men Look For

This is a list of the most important things men look for in women.  This list is not all-inclusive because men have different taste and types of women they prefer. 

1. Physical Appearance - Men like women who are in good physical shape and look healthy.  Men do not like women who are too skinny and do not like women who are too heavy.  Men like women who are physically fit and active. Men also prefer a neat appearance with good hygiene.  Too much makeup or over-done hair is a turn off.  Men like women to look natural with neutral make-up and a nice hairstyle.  A nice smile and clear skin are also important to men.  Bottom line,natural is more appealing than high-maintenance and over-done. 

2. Good personality - A positive and upbeat personality is very attractive to men.  Men do not like to be around women who are negative and complain about everything.  Men definitely enjoy being with women who are happy with a positive outlook on life.

3. Intelligence - Being educated and smart is a turn on for men.  While it is important to show you are smart,men do not like a know-it-all.  Men also get tired of women acting stupid so make sure you are true to yourself and let your intelligence and knowledge shine through.

4. Sense of Humor - Men do not like girls with a dry or boring personality.  Men like women to laugh at their jokes because it makes them feel good.  Show men you have a good sense of humor by making them laugh but remember to also laugh at their jokes so you do not hurt their ego.

5. Good Job/Career- Women who have a full-time job and good career are very appealing to men.  Men want women who can support themselves financially so they are not dependent on the man.  Having a good career shows that you are not using men for their money.

6. Good Listener - Men like women who are good listeners.  Men like to talk about themselves and want women who are interested in what they have to say.  Be sure to ask questions about him and be attentive to his answers. 

7. Responsible - Being on time, having a full-time job, paying your bills on time and being reliable is very important to men.  Men like women who are organized and on-the-ball.  Men do not like women who are always late, do not show up for a date when they are supposed to or forget to call them. 

8. Independence - Men do not like women who are clingy or needy.  Women should have their own friends to hang out with and should have hobbies/interests of their own.  Women should not want to spend every minute of the day with men and should show independence by giving them their space.

9. Confidence - Being confident is very attractive to men.  Men do not like women who doubt themselves or put themselves down.  Women who are confident in who they are are much more appealing to men than those who have a low self-esteem. 

10. Fun and Energetic - Men look for women who are fun to be with.  Men like women who are energetic and like to try new things.  Dating can be very boring if you always do the same thing.  Men like women who have fun no matter what they are doing. 

11. Emotional Stability - Men want women who are emotionally stable and are not up and down like a roller-coaster.  Men like to know what they are getting into and do not like women who have "multiple personalities".  Men prefer women who are level-headed and do not over-react.
